Over the past 20 years, Theatr na nÓg have continually worked to create and produce quality productions and a bespoke learning experience that will enthral and enthuse audiences of all ages. In our annual residency productions at The Dylan Thomas Theatre, Swansea, we take pivotal historical events and show how they impacted on the lives of ordinary people in South Wales and beyond.

In addition to the performance, and in collaboration with Swansea Museum and The National Waterfront Museum, the children will also participate in activities that relate to the show and discover the true reality and horrors of working underground.

Each class also has access to digital materials, which supports the performance and can be used to enhance the learning experience prior to the performance and after returning to the classroom.

This full day of activities is guaranteed to be an inspirational day of interactive and creative learning for all.

The theatre performance costs £5.00 +Vat per pupil and the museum activities are free to all 4SITE members. (Please contact Barry Hughes on 01792653763 to join)

As part of the Lead Creative Schools Scheme, the Arts Council of Wales has launched a new funding stream - Experience the Arts - to allow schools to apply for small one-off grants of up to £1,000 to fund visits to arts events in galleries, theatres, art centres and other venues. For more information please contact Betsan Moses, Head of Communications, Arts Council Wales 02920441307 / betsan.moses@arts.wales
