Jak Poore


Jak Poore is a freelance musician who has been composing music in theatre for over 15 years. Jak is a multi-instrumentalist with a wide repertoire of musical ability and styles. Although based in Manchester, Jak was born in Wales and studied Percussion at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama before studying 20th Century Composition and Performance at Salford University. Some of the Theatre companies he has worked with include The Sherman Theatre ,Aberystwyth Arts Centre, Cascade Dance Co, Theatre Iolo, Birmingham Stage Company, Theatre Clywd ,Wales Millenium Centre, Welsh National Opera and Theatr na nÓg . His music was heard in New York at the beginning of 2011, in Birmingham Stages production of ‘Skellig’ by David Almond at the New Victory Theatre on Broadway and in 2017 his music for David Walliams’s ‘Gangsta Granny’ will transfer to the west end ( Garrick Theatre) after its UK tour.
