Jak Poore is a freelance musician who has been composing music in theatre for over 20 years.
Jak is a multi-instrumentalist with a wide repertoire of musical ability and styles. Jak was born in Mid Wales and studied Percussion at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama before studying 20th Century Composition and Performance at Salford University. Some of the Theatre companies he has worked with include The Sherman Theatre, Aberystwyth Arts Centre, Cascade Dance Co, Theatre Iolo, Birmingham Stage Company, Theatre Clywd, Wales Millennium Centre, West Yorkshire Playhouse, National Youth Theatre of Great Britain, Welsh National Opera and Theatre na nÓg . His music was heard in New York at the beginning of 2011, in Birmingham Stages production of ‘Skellig’ by David Almond at the New Victory Theatre on Broadway and most recently UK tours for both 'Awful Auntie' and 'Gangsta Granny' (West End transfer 2017).
