Phyl has been an Associate Director with Theatr na nÓg for over 10 years, during which time he has worked on countless productions such as "Salsa", "A Child's Christmas in Wales" and "Cyrano".
As well as directing, Phyl is an actor and has appeared on stage all over the world, from Tredegar to Tel Aviv. He is also a musician, playing Saxaphone, flute and piano accordion.
When not acting Phyl runs the Welsh Banquets at Cardiff castle with his wife Mags the Harp, welcoming guests from the four corners of the world.
He also likes to travel and last year saw him visiting Colorado to teach welsh to the Americans and Seoul in South Korea to participate in the world folk dance championships , in which his team Dawnswyr Nantgarw came third.
