Daniel was raised in Rhosllannerchrugog and trained at East 15 Acting School.
He now lives in Llandyrnog, Denbighshire with his wife Elen and their two children. He has recently completed a year long West End run of Roddy Doyle’s The Commitments at The Palace Theatre, directed by Jamie Lloyd. He played the leading role of Deco on many occasions, covered five roles in total and met his musical heroes Brian May and Paul McCartney.

Dan worked for Disney on the Muppets Most Wanted movie at Pinewood studios (he got to meet & work with Kermit, Fozzie and Animal in the flesh!)
Television credits include: Will (9th floor Productions for the USA market) directed by Shekar Kapoor and written by Moulin Rouge writer Craig Pearce ASRA (S4C) (Dau Dŷ a Ni, Mici in Tipyn o Stad, Dafydd Meirion in A470 (ITV,) and in a number of short films.
Dan is a professional signed guitarist/singer-songwriter/ multi-instrumentalist and has had success with his first solo studio album Tro Ar Fyd reaching no 3 in BBC Radio Cymru’s chart. He is a regular on Welsh television and radio performing his own songs. Appearances include: Wedi 3, Ar Gamera, Yr Ystafell Fyw, Trac, Gofod, Bro, Bryn Terfel’s Gwyl Y Faenol, Pws, Wedi 7, Noson Lawen, Nodyn, Uned 5, Bandit and many more. Daniel recently wrote, performed and produced the music for the Welsh tv programme ASRA... he can also be seen in this series playing the role of EMS the computer! He has also recently dipped a toe into the world of directing by becoming an assistant director with Theatr na nÓg on The Ghost of Morfa Colliery which is currently appearing in the Dylan Thomas Theatre in Swansea. He also fronts the Welsh band Daniel Lloyd a Mr Pinc who have released several Welsh language recordings and have toured extensively over the past 10 years. A career highlight of theirs was a performance at the Bryn Terfel Faenol festival in 2008.
