'Just Jump' is an award winning, live action theatre piece, commissioned by Cardiff Harbour Authority to raise awareness of the dangers of antisocial behaviour such as tombstoning and swimming in unsupervised waters. With long hot summers it is more important than ever that our young people are equipped with the knowledge they need to make the right decisions.
92% teachers rated last year’s production (2024) as excellent.
'I'm looking out at the water, it looks calm and inviting, it's glistening and sparkling - enticing really. And then I hear a voice saying:
Well go on then...what are you waiting for...?
Alright stop bugging me...
Well...you wanted to do it...'
Deep down, he doesn't really want to take the leap, but no one wants to be chicken. Little does he know the the decision he makes in the next few seconds will haunt him for the rest of his life.
This show is brought to schools in Cardiff and the Vale for free thanks to support from our partners Cardiff Harbour Authority, Boskalis Westminster and Mermaid Quay, with CultureStep investment from Arts & Business Cymru.
Our partnership with Cardiff Harbour Authority on this project won the 'Arts, Business & the Community' award at the 2024 Arts & Business Cymru awards.
